Christy Michalak, Director of Manufacturing Development Programs 

Christy Michalak is a graduate of Queen’s Mechanical Engineering and has spent 20 years collaborating globally with some of the world’s leading companies in the automotive, defence and aerospace sectors.  Today she focuses on the innovation space as Director of Manufacturing Development Programs at NGen, where she pulls together diverse stakeholders to advance corporate leadership and to develop new innovative technologies for the sector.   Christy also sits on the board of the Canadian Composites Knowledge Network, acts an Industrial Advisor for the Canadian Robotics Council, and is Vice-Chair of the Canadian Standards Association’s Committee for Smart Manufacturing.

Mardi Witzel, CEO, Polyalgorithm Machine Learning (PolyML). 

Mardi is the CEO and co-Founder of PolyML, an early-stage Canadian AI and machine learning company with novel technology. In her role, Mardi is responsible for setting the organization’s strategy and executing the growth plan. Mardi is recognized as an expert in the field of AI Governance, serving as a member of the Province of Ontario’s Expert Working Group for a Trustworthy AI Framework and a member of the AI Ethics Advisory Panel for the Digital Governance Council of Canada. A Board Director with 20 years’ experience in board governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning, Mardi also writes on policy issues relating to AI, ESG and the challenges of innovation and sustainability in the digital economy. She is currently serving a second term as a Public Representative on the Chartered Professional Accountants Ontario (CPA Ontario) Council and previously served as Chair of the Muskoka Watershed Advisory Group and Chair, KidsAbility Foundation Board.

Lori Cohen, VP Marketing, KPI Digital

Lori is a high energy marketing leader with over 30 years of experience transforming the way companies engage with their markets, clients, business partners, and employees. She is passionate change agent focused on driving innovative marketing strategies from ideation to implementation. Joining KPI Digital, a leading data, and AI business and technology consulting firm in 2013, to build their marketing department from the ground up. In 2023 we launched and added KPI Mining Solutions, an AI-based, stochastic optimization solution for the mining industry to our marketing strategy. She oversee all aspects of KPI Digital and KPI Mining Solution's marketing and communications including brand awareness, lead generation, nurture campaigns, customer engagement, strategic partner relationships and the integrated marketing tech-stack across all solutions. Lori is a strategic leader who continuously drives growth for KPI Digital and KPI Mining Solutions.

 Humera Malik, CEO, Canvass AI

Humera Malik is CEO of Canvass AI, a leading provider of industrial AI software that puts industrial companies in control of their data to achieve operational excellence. The company is recognized by CB Insights as one of the top technology companies that is advancing manufacturing. Internationally, Ms. Malik is one of the leading voices in Artificial Intelligence and how it can help the industrial sector propel growth, accelerate sustainability, and augment human expertise. She sits on Canada’s AI Technology Advisory Council and is a recipient of the RBC Women of Influence Entrepreneur of the Year award, the Women of IoT/M2M award, and Special Jury Recognition for the Women in AI Awards North America 2023. She is frequently invited to speak at industry conferences and has been featured in publications such as Bloomberg and Forbes.
