In speaking with Keean Persaud from Airudi, one theme stood out clearly: many manufacturers are still trying to determine where AI fits within their organization. According to Keean, nne of the biggest challenges is understanding how to strategically integrate AI into operations in a way that drives measurable business impact.
“Manufacturers are still navigating the education phase,” Keean explained. There is still a gap between AI experimentation and identifying high-value operational use cases that can generate measurable outcomes.
Rather than focusing solely on replacing manual processes, Airudi’s approach focuses on building more intelligent, agile, and resilient operations through predictive analytics, agentic AI, operational intelligence, and AI-driven decision support. One example that came up during our discussion was their collaboration with the Maritime Employers' Association, which manages workforce deployment at the Port of Montreal, where AI transformed workforce and scheduling operations that had previously relied on spreadsheets for more than a decade. By implementing AI-driven optimization and predictive analytics, the organization was able to modernize operational workflows and improve decision-making capabilities.
